Quickie Birdie Meals

Here are some tips on how to make Quickie Birdie meals for your birds. And as a preface, I don't recommend doing these meals as every day things, but if you're in a hurry, they'll work! And yes I know, because I've used them before!

5-10 minute preparation rice: You can get "Minute" rice (comes in a box) where you can cook white in only 5 minutes, and brown in 10! Works like a charm for adding substance and carbs to any birdie meal.

Frozen fruits: Birds love playing with frozen fruits as they thaw and they're healthy and yummy. You can serve these things immediately and let them thaw on their own  as you wait.

Whole pieces of food: Not taking the time to cut, slice or dice anything like whole wheat bread or some fruits like melons, pumpkins, etc. (where the pits don't matter.

Preparing ahead of time and freezing: Do the work a few days before and use it all later.

Quick prep-pastas: There's lots of pastas out there that cook in 3 minutes. You also don't have to prepare it all the way like you'd like it; some birds take it a bit on the crunchy side!
