Chan has been working around parrots since a very young age, and developed a natural instinct for working with a variety of animals. His passion always lay with the parrots, though, even though he has experience working with birds of prey.
Also a biologist, the science behind animal training was something Chan always understood and implemented in every aspect of his life. You're looking at a man who harness trains all of his parrots with ease; something the general parrot owner public struggles with immensely!
He also is able to incorporate his lifestyle of living in a busy city such as San Fransisco, CA to being a thriving environment for his feathered family members. Including them in the fun of riding a bicycle to the nearby parks, free flying at insanely populated areas and heights overlooking the city.
Chan is available for the following topic of consultations, whether in person, in home or via Skype, FaceTime, phone or email.
- Harness training your parrot
- Free flight training (indoors or outdoors)
- Overcoming seasonal hormonal behavior
- Stop screaming
- Teaching your bird(s) to be a "city bird", ie: taking underground trains, busy bus rides, behaving in extreme busy environments, restaurants, etc.
- Stop biting
- Lifestyle flying behaviors (being able to jog with your bird, or bike, etc.)
His Graduate Bird Flyer Program and contact info is available via facebook. If you have a local bird club, free-flight club, veterinary clinic, etc. you think could greatly benefit from having Chan as a guest speaker, please reach out as his goal is to educate the members of your community about birds so we can co-exist peacefully and have them accompany you in your lifestyle and not be caged birds.
If Chan looks familiar, it's because we met him years ago when he joined us on one of our annual free flight trips! We've invited him ever since to fly with us and enjoy every single trip with him.
As many of you know, we also offer freeflight training, consults in behavior and training as well as a multitude of our own taming, training and tricks products. So why would we recommend another trainer? Because when we meet like-minded trainers in the industry we want to see them succeed because if they do, THAT many more parrots succeed with them. And the more parrots' lives we can change for the better, the more positive impact we can have on the world as a whole. Trainers are meant to coach and create other trainers who can learn the tools necessary to create better lives for themselves and their animals in the future.
